      In an epic battle of good verses evil who wins? The answer would depend on whom you ask. Most would say good always wins. I believe there is no true winner or loser because even though many might die, there is always someone left from both sides to fight the same battle again next time. So if this war is endless why do we keep fighting? In this book series, Glory always fights for love because love is always worth the fight. Love's force is so powerful it can crush you, make you crazy, or fill you with a faith strong enough to lift you so high that nothing can harm you.

      Sometimes we all need a reminder that even though the path of love is hard, it is always worth the journey. This is why I would highly recommend this book to everyone. It is a great addition to "The Legend of Glory" series but also stands very well on its own. If you like big action-packed battles, epic love, and an all-around fantastic read that is impossible to put down, then this book is for you.

My road to Chemotherapy.

Hello, Normally I am a very private person handling issues internally but lately my life has taken a drastic turn and as a whole it has gotten bigger then myself and my small family to handle on their own. One day I noticed I started getting little brown spots like freckles all over my body then big burses started forming from just the simplest of touch. I jokingly called this my ripe banana syndrome. I went to the doctor and they told me my body was attacking my platelets. To make a very long drawn out story short I have a rare blood disorder. The doctors do not know why I developed it and it is not responding to platelet transfusions, IGIV transfusions and I am having poor response to the steroids. This all means that I now have to have Chemotherapy. For months on end I will be taking treatments with unknown results or side affects. Normally as a person I can handle this sort of thing I think my whole life has been preparing me for just this situation. I however have dependents who need me as I am the sole provider for my disabled husband and our four children. So it is with a humble heart that I call out to you and ask you to read my story the link below and if you have the means give a little. If you do not have the monetary means it is fine I totally understand. I also appreciate all of the prayers and well wishes they are a great comfort.

Fly Girl by Syd Blue

Dealing with her dad's death is hard enough, but having to do so while raising her sisters is a whole different story. Unable to cope with her husband's death, Jill’s mother shuts herself off, and sixteen-year-old Jill is left to take care of the family. Sure that her life will be stuck in this endless rut forever, Jill finds out that the cutest boy in the school thinks women pilots are hot. This sparks in her a previously unknown desire to be a pilot. After her first flight, she is forever hooked and knows the sky is where she is meant to be. It is a long, hard road filled with stupid mistakes, financial loss, and self discovery that will send her soaring to new heights of understanding about herself and who she wants to be. With a little help from another female pilot, and her friend who, even though her feet always remain on the ground, dances as if she is flying, Jill does eventually reach her goal and manages to fix her family in the process.

This is a good book for young girls who think they will never accomplish their dreams. I liked the sentiment of this story, but it was written poorly. Sometimes the character would jump from one point in the town to another without any clear way of how they got there, and the conversations were just stuck in the middle of the paragraph making it hard to tell who was talking when. That said, I would recommend this book to any young adult teen who is trying to reach what seems like an unrealistic goal. It is full of very good life lessons which will, hopefully, keep the reader from making the same life-altering mistakes as the character did.

Magic is a powerful thing if you believe in it. Troubled by the loss of his father in the war a young boy tries to sell magical items to his friends. He soon learns the hard way however that the true magic is within himself. He only needs to look to his higher self to find it. This story as a good moral and the characters are likeable. I liked the batty mother and the mystic homeless man. The only issue I had with this book was it felt a bit rushed it seemed to come into the story in the middle and it was a very quick read. I would recommend this book to younger children who like magic as a great way to learn about finding the magic in them to do good for others.

      Love, Hate, Life, Death, and Faith, these are words that we all take for granted every day, yet they seem to be what holds the fabric of the universe together. This book is about a young girl who finds that each one of those words are more than just words they are power. When Glory finds out that she is the cure for a deadly plague she is thrown into a world she only thought existed in the movies. With the help of some very unconventional friends she finds herself in a deadly race to save all of humanity. I found this book to be very enjoyable and well worth the read because it was filled with love, loss, and passion. It is not like any other book that I have read of this kind and should not be treated as such just because of the subject matter or characters in it. This book is all about the power of Faith and should be approached that way.

       In Glory. the first novel in this mind blowing series, a young woman's world was turned inside out when a pandemic nearly wipes out everyone. Now in this page-turning sequel, the evil is back to claim the lost souls of the dead. It is up to Glory, with a little help from her unusual friends, to fight the battle for the side of good. As with the first novel this book is about faith; the faith in love, faith in God and faith in the power of friendship to overcome all obstacles. This book is a must read for everyone! This series will be displayed on my shelf with great pride and read over and over!

After Freddy’s mother died, his dad sent him to live in a little town with his Aunt Teri and her daughter Emily. One day while the kids were cooling off at the community pool, Matt the local kid story teller, told the group about a boy who slept on a grave. The boy was supposedly absorbed right into the ground. Emily being a logical individual, roundly told Matt he was full of hogwash. With Freddy as her witness, Emily would go to the Pesterfield’s family cemetery to lie down on a grave just to prove Matt wrong. While there, Freddy accidentally trips and lands on a small grave marked with a tiny tombstone etched with the name of "Tump." Later that night, he started having what would turn out to be a series of weird dreams. They were so realistic he would wake up sore the next morning.

Was Freddy just having bad dreams or was he being haunted by a long lost boy? You will just have to read this book to find out. This book is full of intrigue that will keep you turning pages until the end. The characters are believable and well rounded. The story line has a good flow and the ending will leave you satisfied. Individuals who like ghost stories and a quick read should definitely check out this wonderful book.
